Is é Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhi go leor mar gheall ar ceol damhsa ar an chláir inniu. Tá suim sa ceol Gaelach ar fud an domhain. Riverdance , a theatre show based on Irish traditional dance has been touring the world for 20 years and has been seen and loved by millions all over the world. The show grew from a a six minute interval act in an international song competition. Dublin was hosting the competition that year. Here is what Mrs Long had to say to the class about those golden TV moments ' I remember watching the Eurovision when I was just a little girl and I got goosebumps looking at Riverdance. I remember it so well' You can see for yourself what made Mrs Long and myself so excited Here is interval act from the 1994 in the clip below. The best bit I think is when the two solo dancers are joined by the full company of dancers about 4 and 1/2 minutes in . The dancers feet in hard dancing shoes made a great percussion sound Special thank you to Mrs Long for demonstrating the dance steps.
