Link 1 Welcome to our song recital today. We
have a varied selection for you. There are folk songs in Irish and English, a Disney favourite, an
anthem from the sports field, a freedom song from South Africa, an
American gospel number and a bit of rock
and roll.
1 We begin
with a sea shanty What shall we do with a Drunken Sailor. We follow that with a
song in Irish song about a donkey who
thinks he is a great singer Finally get
to rock to our teddy bear rock and roll
Link 2 Mr
Busher’s class will sing an American gospel song and we go to the African continent for a freedom song that was played at Nelson
Mandela’s funeral performed by Ms Long’s
class.
Next both
classes combine for a rousing sports anthem composed for the Irish rugby team
by Phil Coulter
Cinderella
was released by Disney in 1950 The
animated version was updated in 2015 with a live action version. Our final
number is gentle song of hope sung by the heroine Cinderella who still dreams
of going to the ball.
